Thousands of smallholders contribute to a cherry collection station at Banco Gotiti Kochere. The cherries are then dried on raised beds for 20-25 days. Each farmer contributes small amounts. Through the purchasing of cherries and the employment of many at the washing station, the coffee industry has provided some financial stability to this community.
