At home barista: Toasted Coconut Iced Coffee
As working from home is at an all-time high amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s hard not to yearn for the once-routine pleasure of getting a pretty, delicious drink at our local coffee shop. Even for us black coffee lovers, there’s something about the guilty pleasure of an easy-drinking, indulgent specialty drink every now and then. We got to the drawing board to share a few of own recipes that are equal parts easy, delicious, and Instagrammable.
Ingredients
- 1 cup cold brewed or brewed, chilled coffee
(Recommended: Chill Wave, cold brewed. See our guide to easily making cold brew with your French Press) - ¼ tsp vanila extract
- 1 tbsp agave nectar or honey (although honey no longer makes this vegan)
- 3 tbsp canned whole fat coconut milk
- Coconut flakes
- Ice
Directions
- Spoon coconut milk out from underneath cream resting at the top of the can.
- Whisk together coconut milk, agave nectar and vanilla extract in a bowl.
- Pour into a 16oz glass along with the coffee and stir
- Enjoy!
